Yeah. So I guess the first Guinness World Record was the world's farthest basketball shot made backwards. So I played college basketball and I went to a Christian school in Denver. And then so they didn't have hazing. And then so for a freshman, like the hazing would be maybe doing the team's laundry. So instead of going back and forth between my dorm to the arena, I would just stay there, do my workouts. And then once I got done working out, I started doing trick shots. And then so I grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming, which is close to Denver. And then so the Denver Nuggets mascot, Rocky, he was notorious for making backwards half-court shots. So I saw that growing up. So once I was in college, and once I got to that part where I was, you know, done my workouts, I started trying to be like Rocky. So I started throwing backward shots in and just doing trick shots. And from there I got really good at it. And then as time went on, I progressed. And then you know, smartphones came out. So I eventually got to the part where somebody was filming me. And then I got to the point to where um I was actually holding the phone myself and I was just throwing backward shots in. And then it's all over my social media, I'll have to show you after. But um, so I got to that point, and then I was like, I wonder if there's you know like a road record for this. And I saw that there was. Um, and then so I like looked it up and then saw that again um a uh Harlem Globe charter had had the record, and so I went to the park, majored it off, made it on the third try. So then I got I got in contact with Guinness and I was like, hey, I'm gonna break this record.

Yeah, there's two ways you can go about it. So the first way is if you can pay them four bands and they show up. I'm not paying for a world record. So the second way is pay them how much full grand? Yeah. And I was like, I'm not doing that for a record. So the second way is you have a bunch of cameras, you have a bunch of guidelines, X amount of witnesses, and you have to follow the rules, which is what I did. Uh so I went to the Suns, or excuse me, I went to the Spurs arena in San Antonio uh and did it there. And that was great because I was only expecting me and some homies to be there, but they brought out the cheerleaders, the mascot. Oh, that's okay. Yeah, they like opened up the red carpet for me, so that was pretty cool. And then so that's how that I got the first one.

No, that took me 30 minutes. It did, which is still it was still pretty quick, but yeah, that one that one was tough because it was basically full court, and I ended up swishing it, so that was pretty cool.

I do accounting. So I'm uh I do accounting for an investment management company out here in Scostale.

And you know, once I broke my records and stuff, people were like, it's so inspirational. Like, we've always watched from afar. So there's been a lot of like positive feedback from that, but definitely no like groupies and like the turns of what Scott's.

No, not like that. So I had people DMing me because when the first record came out, Guinness posted it on their socials, and they're obviously a worldwide uh platform. So I had a lot of DMs and stuff from people around the world, just like congrats and like cool things like that. But nothing with like females to that nature.

No, so uh I guess that jumps into the story. Um, so you know, I was uh I had a serious relationship at one point, and that ended pretty sourly. And then after that, I've just been kind of the guard has been up, and you just see things a little bit more differently.

Uh so uh I was at a basketball game one night, um, a high school basketball game in December of 2023. And uh these people were staring at me like the entire time. And I'm like, I'm thinking I'm gonna have to fight these people because I don't know these people, I've never seen them in my life. They're just staring at me. And then eventually in the third quarter, these people muster up the confidence to come over to

me and they say, Hey, like, you're so and so. And I was like, Yeah, like what's it to you? And they say, Oh, well, you're so-and-so's ex-husband. And I was like, What? I had my wedding ring on. I was like, What are you talking about, man? And then so like they realized that I had no idea what they're talking about, so they changed the subject, and then they doubled back probably about five minutes later and said, Okay, yeah, so like sorry, but like, aren't you so-and-so's ex-husband? And I was like, nah, man, what are you talking about? So, long story short, they had known this individual since like 2008 or so. I went to college with her, um, had worked with her, they'd known her this entire time. And then, so kind of like to the groupie thing, like you're talking about I know what real groupies are because one of my really good friends was playing for the Suns at this time. And then, so this ties in because she was always with me when I was at the games with this individual, and then so she was always back, you know, in the back with me. She was always meeting all the players. So, for example, like when she was posting photos with like her and Steph Curry, or like her and Klay Thompson, and like all these big name NBA players, it was because I was with their with my friend, and then she was getting all that access. But she was the type of person that posted everything on social media, so these people saw that they have kids of their own they all that also like basketball. So they're like, How is she getting all this access? And then you know, meeting all these NBA players and stuff like that, and then they realized, oh, it's her boyfriend. And then so my social media has always been on public, like I have nothing to hide. And then so they always saw that and watched from afar. So fast forward to that night when I'm at the basketball game, they had never seen me in person, but they knew exactly who I was, and then so they came up to me and then confronted me, and I was like, What are you guys talking about? Fast or rewind to January of 2023. Um, she tells me she's going on social media cleanse. So I'm like, all right, whatever. So cool. Meanwhile, it really she had just blocked me, all my family, all my friends, went back to her maiden name and was just out going buckwell, just being crazy, going, doing all kind of stuff. Um, and then so they're seeing this on her social media. Um, and then so they had like reached out to her in like I think it was like July or maybe June or something. But anyways, they said, Hey, like, are you okay? Like you're out partying all the time, you're doing X, Y, and Z, like what's going on? And she was like, nah, like I divorced him, and like he all this stuff that was just all not true. But they literally showed me their phone and let me read all the messages and like let me see everything that was on her social media from January all the way up until this point to when I found out about it. And then so I'm just like crushed in the moment. Like I'm shaking, like I don't know what to do. Like, you know, I'm thinking that we're working our our marriage, like going on dates and stuff throughout the entire year. Um, and then so I'm just like crushed. And then so that just leaves and opens up the can of worms. So I talked to these people for like a good two, three hours after that.

I know, right? Well, the thing is because I'm from Wyoming and a lot of my my uh social media presence is all like not here in Arizona. So the my social media presence is all basketball here, so um, not like people that actually grew up here and

So they told you, did you confront her? Oh, yeah, and did she deny it?

Well, so it gets even juicier. So that same night, um, you know, I do the due diligence of going through some of the details and like talking to other people, and they're like, Yeah, like we thought you'd move back to Wyoming. Like, I'm talking to multiple people in different aspects of her life that don't know each other, but that I've known throughout the time of meeting her. They're all telling me the same stuff, and then so I go back, so I had moved out in February of that year just because things are getting hectic. I was like, hey, like I'm gonna move to my apartment. Let's take our time, you know, work through some things, go from there. Um, so I'm living at my own apartment at this time, which is where I live now. And uh, so I go back to where we where I used to live with her. I literally catch her in the moment, like getting ready to go cheat on me with somebody that same night. Like, she's supposed to be at work. Uh, she was dressed very scantily. Um and like I'll never forget it. She was wearing like this red uh top that was like super low cut and just like just stuff that uh a husband wouldn't want to see his wife, and especially like to go out with somebody besides them.

So she said she was working. Where does she work at a street club? Like she's dressed like that.

She's a nurse here in in down in Phoenix. Um, and then so she was supposed to be and she works night shift, so she was supposed to be at work. Um, so I go over just to go talk to the neighbors and stuff and see like you know what's been going on. Like, have you noticed anything? And then while I'm talking to one of the neighbors, literally the door slams. It's her, she's taking the dog out. And then so we just like look through the people, see what she's wearing, obviously. And then so my neighbor is like, Yeah, I got this. So he walks out and goes, Hey, like, oh, you're pretty dressed up tonight, like you're dolled up. Like, where are you? What are you doing tonight? And I forgot what she said, but she was he was like, Oh, well, how's your husband? He's such a great guy. I haven't seen him for a while. Like, how are things going with you guys? And she goes, Oh no, like we're not together, and blah, blah, blah. Meanwhile, I'm standing there just listening through the door. And then something like, all right, cool. And then so I obviously confront her about it. Um, she lies to me about everything, and then that just leads into a whole, you know, just I go, I go home, uh, I'm like crushed. Uh, so I'm just like calling all kinds of people, just doing my due diligence of figuring out, you know, like what's been going on. And like I said, I'm getting the same story from everybody from different aspects of her life that don't know each other, but they all know her.

And oh, she just lied to me about everything. And she was just like, Oh, yeah, I could never do this. Like to you,

And I said, I didn't tell her that I talked to all these people, and I definitely didn't tell her like who anybody was, but I said, Okay, I've talked to multiple people, and they're all telling me the same thing. And she goes, Oh, well, they just don't want to see us together. And I'm like, What? That makes sense. That just yeah, that makes absolutely zero sense.

Yeah. Oh, yeah. And the crazy thing is that I didn't even get to. So when I was at the high school basketball game, those random people that I had never seen before had knew the first husband. Turns out she did the same thing to the first husband.

They knew him way back when they ran into him at noon that day. They hadn't seen him in seven years, and they ran into this guy at noon that same day, run into me at 7 p.m. that night, and then tell me all this. They get us in contact together. So we start texting, calling, and stuff. Our stories are like synonymous.

What? People who don't believe in a higher power. I will never understand people who don't believe in a higher power. I was like, that is not something more like nonsense. Crazy. That is crazy. Yeah, just nuts. The same day, like running into her ex-husband and you on the city. Someone wanted to bring her down.

Yeah, God was looking out for me that day. Like somebody was. So it hurt a ton, but I mean, from there, like I did the due diligence, do the due diligence of finding everything out and like taking my time. I gave her like four or five days and then called her over and was like, look, just like laid out everything. And then she looked me dead in my eyes and said, This is all not true. Like, I could never. And then so when she went to the bathroom, I went through her phone just real quick, and I saw like 20 different bumble messages. And then a bunch of Instagram DMs, no, a bunch of Instagram DMs, um, just from dudes and stuff. And then so I just put her phone back in her purse, said, See you later. Gave her a hug, called my lawyer, never saw her again.

2023 at this point. It was either December 14th, it was either 13th, 14th, or 15th. Anyways, so I play the game, so I'm just texting her, being cordial, whatever. Meanwhile, my lawyers served up the draft or the served up the draft papers for serving her for divorce and all that stuff. And then so they tried to serve her like three or four different times. Couldn't get to her, and then so I was like, oh, like you guys gotta, you guys gotta get this done. Like, I'm tired of playing these games, like I'm crushed inside. Like it hurts to even like be talking to this person, even though I'm like being bare minimal with her. And then so finally on January 11th, she got served. And then so um, once she got served, like I just didn't respond to her at all. Like, she had texted me about 50 different times and called me a bunch of times.

Oh no, not at all. My lawyer just told her, was like, hey, if you have anything to say to him, all communication will be through me going forward. And then so I just literally after that day when I kicked her out, never saw her again, never talked to her on the phone again, never answered any phone calls, texts, besides up until you know January 11th when she got served.

Yeah, I mean, and it's just like I never really used dating apps like that, anyways. And then, so like I said, I played basketball in college and stuff, so I like never had to like use online to like meet people or anything of that nature, and then so Bumble at the time of 2018, this is supposed to be like a sophisticated app, right? Because you have Tinder, we all know what Tenders, you know, what their persona is or whatever. So Bumble's supposed to be sophisticated. So I meet her off there, and then you know, she's like telling me, or seems like she's a good person. Like, she's a nurse, which I this is before I knew anything about nurses, not saying all the nurses are bad, but just before I knew the stigma about nurses, is oddly always on the list of top 10 Tinder nurses. Nurses and doctors always every yeah, and yeah, and then so this is before I knew any of that. So I'm like, oh, she's a nurse, she has a great job. Um, she had a kid, which was not something I was looking for, but I was like, you know what, whatever.

So yeah, it's just were there other red flags aside from like career and things that you ignored in the beginning that you're like, oh, I should have been a little bit more Yeah.

So like as at in hindsight, it's easy to see all around. Of course, but at the time you're just kind of chalking it up to like, you know, just early relationship struggles.

No, no, no. Are you done with the apps? Yeah, we're we're done with that. How's dating been since uh it's been interesting? Um, there's a lot of hurt people I found in this world, and then there's a lot of people that haven't properly, I think, um, looked head-on of what the struggles that they've had, and they kind of carry that, and you can tell that they're not overstuffed.

A lot of jaded people. I was well, and I was gonna ask that. Do you feel like you're still jaded? Are you ready to date again at this point?

I was a hundred percent jaded for a long time. So we're in 2026 now. So I mean, I took a good year and a half, almost two years, didn't talk to any females, like just made sure I worked on myself, which is because I mean, at the end of the day, like you gotta treat people how you want to be treated. And it's like I wouldn't want somebody to go through what I went through, and let alone I wouldn't want to be the person that's bringing all my baggage to put somebody through what I went through. And then so I was mature enough to understand that. So I was just I stepped back, just hanging out with my dog, you know, friends, family, just doing nor live a normal life. And then once I started dating again, probably about a year ago, it's been it's been tough.

Um, just out and about. I actually had tried an I tried hinge, um, like when I first got into it, just because just because.

So the thing is, she remarried somebody while still being married to me. Oh, married me, while still being married to me, she remarried somebody.

Yes, I was legally still married, and she was married to somebody else at the same time, and then the crazy thing is because she committed three felonies. So bigamy is a felony in Arizona, class five felony. So she committed identity theft because she stole my identity, ran up her credit card with it, and took out 90 different loans of my name, and then she did bank fraud, um, and then and then uh like the loans and the credit cards, and then bigamy.

Wow, yes. She did so, she stole your identity and ran up credit card charges after you found this out, or she was doing this while you were married and you didn't know about it.

June of 2024. I'm at a friend's house, and he's like, Hey, how's your divorce going? And I was like, uh, it's taking a long time. Like, she's not really being responsive. And he goes, Well, you know, have you checked your credit? And I was like, Why? And he goes, you know, he goes, You never know, just check your credit. And then so I checked it that Monday, and I saw you know, a Capital One card, which I don't use at all, maxed out uh a ton of loans on there. I don't have any loans, my car is paid off. Like, you know, I've been I've been pretty fortunate and I played my cards well, so it's just like I wasn't buying anything, so there's no absolutely no need for any of this to be on there. So I'm freaking out. So I call my lawyer, we serve some subpoenas, uh, we get all the documentation from Capital One, you know, the the logs of everything, IP addresses from every purchase, same thing with the loan company, get everything. Turns out back in 2019, only after not even knowing me for a full year, she she created uh the Capital One account and created the loan account.

When obviously you need my social security number. So she used my name, my social, her email, her phone number, and had paperless billing. So nothing was going to me. Oh, yeah.

And she was paying at least the minimum balance is $20 a month. Yeah, just so she was paying the minimum flag in my credit. Yeah, so it wasn't sending you any notices of late payments or underpayments. That's crazy. But she's responsible, right?

We were able to get that caught up and taken care of.

But at the time, no. So like I'm freaking out. I see that's all there. I reach out to Capital One and they're like, oh, they're not like being understanding at all. They're like, oh yeah, like you created this, like, this is all you did this, that, and that. And I was like, no, like I didn't outside, I'm not paying a dime, and they're trying to hold it accountable against me. And so, like, it's a it's identity theft. And you know, so I had to get the the feds involved. So I had to get a detective, they went through my case, they went through all that stuff, they were able to prove that it was her and none of it was me. And then so they were able to wipe all that off my credit. But same thing with the loans, like there was 98 of them, and then so she was buying like tattoos, Taco Bell, um, just all kind of just stuff, like stuff for her kids, like frivolous things, stuff for the other guys, yeah. Yeah, because I'm an accountant, so I went through every single charge from 2019 all the way to present day, and then so she had even tried to pay for an attorney to use against me when I was divorcing her.

But my friend, my my credit was frozen at that point, so it didn't go through.

Yeah, it was pretty low. It's high now, it's back to where it should be, and it's good. Like I said, everything got taken care of and removed, but it was it was pretty bad.

Like, so what makes it worse is so once we had everything and went through the whole process, the detective said, Hey, like, I'm so sorry, like we're not gonna prosecute her. And I said, Why? And he goes, Well, we're kind of understaffed with the law and stuff like that. There are people who are doing like killings. And things of that nature. So they needed to allocate the resources towards that. But they said it's absolutely prosecutable. So once we get off air, I'll like show you everything on my phone. Um, but like they have all the IP addresses for all of the purchases for the case.

Because those are some pretty serious charges. Identity theft. Like, how did she get off scot-free?

Yeah, and then so I was pretty pissed. I'm not gonna lie. So I went straight to the attorney district's office and then told them everything, showed them everything, had all the evidence, like everything was there. But the people above me are telling me the same things that your detective told you. That's crazy. And we have some other things that we need to tend to. Um, and you just didn't lose enough money. They told me I didn't lose I didn't lose enough money.

When you like file for your marriage certificate, it's like, what's your social security number? And so it's like she already has his social security number if she's married to him already. Right. And so she's like like 99% sure she's already doing it to him. Like, she was from Tucson, she's lived here her whole life, but she was a Dallas Cowboys fan. So, I mean, who doesn't knock on the Cowboys? Let's be real. So I'll all I had was like some French toast or something. So my portion of the bill is only $14. Meanwhile, she had like two of the uh espresso martinis, and like she got some vegetable tray that came out with like sparklers. It was like the most expensive thing. Yeah, I was like, is this bottle service at like you know, at like 10 a.m.? Or like what's going on?

Ah, this one comes from a guy. Okay. I want a girlfriend so badly, but I feel like I'm a lost cause. I'm 27 and didn't date much through high school and college due to my weight. Girls obviously weren't throwing themselves at the shy fat guy, and I didn't really put myself out there much. I've always said that I would start dating when I lost the weight, but it turns out that that kind of pressure had the opposite effect, and I went from heavy to obese. Over the past year and a half, I have really turned it around and I'm proud to say I'm 20 pounds away from my goal weight. I have a decent job, a car, a place of my own, and I finally feel ready to date. The issue is I feel like I'm way too far behind as I'm still the 27-year-old guy who has never had a girlfriend, is still a virgin, and has never kissed a girl. I obviously don't plan to lead with this on dates, but I do want to be honest about it when it comes up. I'm worried that even if there's women who like me, they will think that something is wrong with me for never having, for never being in a relationship before. Is it even something I should be worried about? And is there any advice for how to approach this as I try to enter the dating world? 27-year-old virgin who's never kissed a girl.

I mean, after the trauma that I've been through, it's like if you're actually just generally friends with somebody first, you can kind of like see how they are, and then maybe if they're with your with your ex-wife, are you like physical, so physical speaking, physical type?

Yeah, I mean, I would be lying if I said if I said no. So a hundred percent. I mean, I'm over that now, but I mean, especially first time. Uh-huh. Like, it was just, it was just so much. I mean, like I said, like the won the woman faked a brain tumor at one point. So it's just like what everything that had happened, just I was just so turned off by anything with that archetyped.

So she sounds like anything, she sounds like one of these women that you see in the documentary. Like, did you see a toxic relationship? No, god, you should watch out the great doctor. But she seems like one of these crazy bitches that you see in these fucking documentaries, faking a brain tumor.

And the craziest thing is that was only a few months after I met her. So, I mean, it was I think we were I've known her for three months at this time. So, I mean, when a normal person, when you meet somebody, you're not gonna think that they're just faking that. And then, so like I said, I'm in finance, so I don't know anything about the MRI scans and things that she's showing me. So, why would why would somebody just why why would you think it false?

You were only together for a few months and she's whipping out her MRIs? Like, who does that?

Well, I mean to say, oh, I have a big temper, but I wouldn't whip out my MRIs and like showcase them, you know?

I mean, was it if it if it was something like spectacular, maybe? If it was if it was like how big my two. If it was like quite large or if it was like out of the ordinary, and be like, okay, look at look at how big this thing was. Like it was the size of a grapefruit. And then people don't believe you when you said you have a brain tour the size of a grapefruit. And so it's like, check out my MRI. Yeah, you know, like, but yeah, it was pretty big.

And then so I'm over there thinking that she was gonna die. So um, like I said, she had a kid, right? So, like, I'm thinking she's gonna die. I'm thinking, like, how are you gonna like pay for like chemo and stuff like that? Yeah, so I'm freaking out. My family's freaking out, my close friends that I told, we're all freaking out. I'm about to get a second job to like help pay for like medical costs that I'm thinking she's gonna incur.

Because she's gonna need downtime.

Oh, yeah, that's a pretty, that's a pretty big thing. That's a it's a pretty big tumor. Uh-huh. So, how did she come back from that? Like, oh, it disappeared, it went away on its own.

That's exactly what she did. So she carried this on for probably like a month, almost two months. And then, so I like like we talked about, I believe in like a higher power, like I believe in like Jesus or God. Like, I think that there is, you know, something beyond this life. And then so she knew that though. So she like used that against me. And then so, meanwhile, which is kind of what I think why she like kind of like felt bad about it. So she would go to church with me like every Sunday early on in the relationship. There was somebody who actually had cancer at church, and so and this person actually ended up passing away. And then so at church, you know, they're showing like this person's story, like they're saying, like, hey, like any donations will go straight to this person's like, you know, medical, you know, funeral expenses, etc.

And you're going ding ding ding. Meanwhile, let's talk to your church about a fundraiser.

Well, I wasn't even worried about that. I was just thinking, like, oh wow, like this is you know, this sucks. Like, you have a brain tumor as well. But she saw this going on, and then so one day she sends me another MRI, and it's actually geotagged. Um, you can see the honor health, the hospital on there.

And so you can see that there's nothing on there.

And uh oh god, and then so she tells me, like, oh, the brain tumor like was miraculously healed, like it's gone away. And then so I'd never actually seen a miracle, especially like like that. And then so I'm like, oh wow, like this is amazing. Like I said, I only know her for like six months at this point. So I'm like, oh wow, this is great, this is amazing. Like, you've got to give your testimony. And this was before the person had died at church that they actually passed away. So I was like, you gotta like give your testimony. Like, your story can give, like, at least bring hope. Like, I'm not sure if it will like save anybody, but it at least brings hope. And like, who loves live who likes to live in a hopeless world, you know? So it's like you can the least you can do is that. And she was like, Oh no, like I don't know. Like, she was always just real crazy and just real like standoffish about it, and like would get mad at me when I was like saying, Hey, like, you gotta like tell somebody like this is too good to be true. I mean, it actually was too good to be true, but I didn't know that at the time. And then so fast forward to when I'm at that basketball game that night with these people that are in the medical field, and I tell them everything, go through everything from beginning to end, and show them that. Oh, they're telling me, Oh, yeah, that's not like if that was a brain tumor, she would have been at a vegetable state. Like, what were you guys doing at this time? And I said, Oh, we were going to my friend's basketball games that played for the sons at this time, and they're like, Oh, yeah, she wouldn't have been able to do that.

She was like saying you were there for me during my uh my brain tumor and all this stuff, and like this is how I just know that you were the one, and this is how so she was trying to beg you back, yeah, and it was just very manipulative, and it's just yeah, I just thank God you didn't fall for that.

It's a modern dating term describing a toxic pattern where somebody suddenly pulls away, acts distance, or self-sabotages a relationship the moment it becomes emotionally intimate or serious. The phrase is inspired by the natural defense mechanism of the puffer fish, which swells up and spikes to protect itself from predators. In human relationships, puffer fishing acts as a metaphor for emotional self-defense. When a person with this tendency starts feeling vulnerable, they'll put their spikes out instead of communicating their feelings. Then you know a lot of women who do that? Like they get scared and like they're starting to get serious and they get freaked out, so they, you know, self-sabotage.
